Master Class Place Making

The various encounters, meetings and events organised in a city are the best way to tell the story of the city in which they are organised. But how do you tell best that unique story? How do you put the destination on the map and how do you gear your activity mix to it? And also, how do you go about this in a target-group-oriented way?

Frank Cuypers is an expert in city marketing. As a senior strategist, he advises professionals and policy makers worldwide on shaping their positioning and place making strategy.

Register for this master class, which will be organised on December 14th, 2023 from 10 am to 1 pm at our KdG Campus Groenplaats in Antwerp. Learn not only from our experts, but also from each other. Each master class will be followed by a roundtable discussion with other professionals

Trajectory Event Portfolio & Planning

Is the event offer and policy aligned with the DNA of your city or municipality? What is already good and what could be better?

This tailor-made programme for local authorities runs as follows:

  • A preliminary analysis of the current event portfolio and city marketing strategy.

  • Together with a cross-departmental working group, we set to work during a workshop (from 9.30 am to 4 pm). In this, first our ROI model is explained. Next, the current event portfolio in your city/municipality is mapped out and we examine which types of events are missing and of which there is an oversupply. A supported customised event vision is developed.

  • After the workshop, the conclusions and recommendations are presented to the municipal council.

  • The results and action points are compiled and delivered in a clear report.

Workshop Citizen Participation

The participation of residents, visitors and local traders is increasingly important in everything organised in public spaces. Regular and structural surveys are an important part of impact measurement and improvement. But how do you start such surveys? How do you reach your target group(s)? How do you avoid over-questioning? And how do you handle sensitive information?

In this half-day workshop tailored to your organisation, we will work with your team. We start from a concrete case and support you in drawing up questionnaires, defining your target group(s) and detecting channels to reach them. We look at where the needs are and formulate concrete recommendations to embed citizen participation in the daily operations of your city or municipality.
